About
Donald Piret (born in Belgium, 1984), is a young code guru, blog author and house music DJ/producer. When he is not coding away on an innovative project for the company that he co-founded: BigBentoBox, Donald can be working on one of his many personal projects, traveling the world in search of new adventures or tweaking his latest mix or track under the alias Noisy D.
His biggest project with BigBentoBox so far is designing, developing and launching a major French jeans retailer's e-commerce website: DestockJeans, and you can find some of his other projects, both professional and personal listed in the portfolio section.
Donald believes that good code should be beautiful and flow naturally, and as such strongly advocates some modern development techniques like Test Driven Development (TDD), Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Continuous Integration. To best satisfy his need to write beautiful and legible code, Donald has adopted Ruby on Rails as his development framework of choice.
In his free time, Donald enjoys DJ-ing house music and all its subgenres, or travelling around the world, and would love to find a DJing job in Asia.
Donald graduated in Brussels at Vesalius College, where he studied Computer Science, and took a six month study abroad course in Japan to study Japanese culture and language.
